Ron Dudley is a retired enforcement deputy of an average-sized county in the State of Wisconsin. Mr. Dudley served as a corrections deputy of the same county prior to getting hired on with that county for patrol. Before the State of Wisconsin, he was a reserve deputy in a small county in the State of Washington, before serving as a 9-1-1 dispatcher for a city in California State and moving to Wisconsin.
Ron never wanted to be a cop. He wanted to be a pastor and build a church. He tried applying for pastor positions only failing to be accepted. He tried going for a theology degree only switching majors halfway. And, after first attending a law enforcement hiring event, he applied only to be blindsided by the hiring process, before finally succeeding and getting hired as a full-time deputy with the county he served in the State of Wisconsin.
Dudley aspires to be a best-selling author one day, and a mentor for young law enforcement officers who are either trying to get into law enforcement, or are just starting out with a new police department or sheriff’s office. He served as a police explorer advisor in the State of Washington where he was a reserve deputy.
